The Hollygarth is a members club, situated on Leeds Road in the Wharfedale town of Ilkley , West Yorkshire.
The Original Hollygarth Social Club was founded sometime in the 1930s and was based in a small rented House on the opposite side of Leeds Road next to the Chinese Takeaway
The Hollygarth name probably stems from the name of the original club house building which in fact still goes under the name “Hollygarth House”
In about 1966 the owners of the old club property decided to take it back, forcing the club to be wound up.
The clubs assets were apparently put into a trust for the purpose of reestablishing a club once suitable premises were found.
The club had the good fortune to acquire the present club house, a former Co-operative Society retail store.
The present club and club house were officially opened in 1967 and the addition of the function room occured sometime before 1977
Our facilities comprise a members games room with seating area, relaxed members lounge/bar area, and a large cabaret style function room which is unrivalled, not only in Ilkley, but in most of the surrounding towns with excellent facilities including a separate bar.
We are a free house and serve a range of beers and lagers plus a wide selection of wines and spirits.
New Members are always welcome. Come and join us for a drink, meet new friends and enjoy a sociable evening with the added bonus of excellent service from our steward Andrew and stewardess Amanda.
